Maintenance and care of Polyurethane high frequency screen
Polyurethane high-frequency screen mesh is widely used in the field of material screening in mining, coal, chemical industry and other industries due to its excellent performance of wear-resistant, impact-resistant, corrosion-resistant and so on. However, long-term high-frequency vibration and complex working conditions easily lead to screen wear, clogging or structural deformation. Scientific maintenance and repair can significantly extend its service life and improve screening efficiency. The following systematic recommendations are provided from the three aspects of routine maintenance, regular maintenance and precautions.
Vibration status: Observe whether the screen machine is running smoothly, if there is abnormal shaking or noise, you need to stop immediately to check whether the screen mesh fixing bolts are loose and whether the supporting structure is deformed.
Material distribution: make sure the feed material is uniform, avoid local overload resulting in uneven force on the screen. It is recommended to install a deflector or adjust the angle of the feed opening.
Thorough cleaning: remove the residual materials on the screen surface and in the screen box in time after stopping the machine, and prevent corrosive materials (such as acid and alkali materials) from contacting the polyurethane surface for a long time.
Environmental protection: avoid exposing the screen mesh to ultraviolet rays or extreme temperatures (below -30℃ or above 80℃) for a long time to prevent the material from aging.
1. Wear and tear inspection and repair
Periodicity: Comprehensive inspection after every 300~500 hours of operation or completion of a large production task.
Focus area: Wear on screen edges, joints and high-frequency vibration areas. If the depth of localized wear is found to be more than 2mm or cracks are found, it should be repaired or replaced in time.
Repair method: small area wear can be filled with polyurethane special adhesive, large area damage is recommended to replace the whole.
2. Calibration of tensioning system
Calibrate the screen tensioning device every quarter, check whether the elasticity of the springs, bolts and other parts is decayed, and replace the parts if necessary to ensure that the tension is balanced.
1. Avoid overload operation
It is strictly prohibited to exceed the maximum capacity of the screen design (usually 120% of the nominal value), overloading will lead to screen wire deformation or even breakage.
2. Prohibit the use of strong chemical reagents
Do not use strong acid, strong alkali or organic solvents (such as acetone, xylene) when cleaning, recommended neutral detergent with warm water.
3. Installation specification
When replacing the screen, make sure that the edge of the screen frame and the screen are close to each other. After installation, test run the screen for 10 minutes without load to make sure that there is no abnormal noise before putting the screen into production.
4.Seasonal maintenance
The brittleness of polyurethane material increases under the low temperature environment in winter, so it is recommended to preheat for 5~10 minutes with no load before starting the machine, and gradually improve the vibration intensity.
